Nice and comfortable room. The staff was very pleasant and professional. Access to the hotpot any time (bathrobes given by the hotel). The restaurant and breakfast were excellent! Practical facilities (petrol station, pump station for tyres, wash station).

The accomodation is located in a farm, basically in the middle of nowhere, but it's totally worth taking the long journey in the Westfjords to get to this place. It has a very unique feeling, you are in the nature. I arrived very late, around midnight, but communication with the hotel staff and then self check in was very easy. After arrival I jumped into the hot pool (which is available 24/7), they have both outdoor and indoor pools (in an amazing palm house). Breakfast was divine with a lot of local produce, it's definitely worth the additional 2000 ISK that I had to pay for that. It's a place where I definitely have to return one day.

You can park next to the hotel for free, the breakfast is good and the shower is one of the best we have had here with good pressure.

Set in Stykkishólmur, Hótel Fransiskus Stykkishólmi offers a shared lounge and bar. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. The place was very peaceful, the person we meet on check in was warm and welcoming and very helpful with regard to booking somewhere to eat that night. he had a tremendous sense of humour. Breakfast was perfect the following morning with plenty of choice
