Located next to Hlemmur Square, this hotel is just off Laugavegur, the main shopping street in Reykjavík. It offers a view over the city and Esja Mountain. We had an excellent 4 night stay at Eyja Guldsmeden Hotel. The room was small but very comfortable with everything we needed including supplied toiletries. The hotel lobby is a nicely decorated, relaxing space with tea, coffee and bottles for tap water available free of charge to guests. There is also a bar in the lobby which did happy hour 4pm-7pm. There is free parking outside the door of the hotel which was great as like many others we had rented a car, meaning we didn’t need to worry about it overnight. Reykjavik centre is within walking distance (1km approx) of the hotel so the car wasn’t needed when we were going to the city centre. Finally, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel had a welcoming atmosphere.

The staff was incredibly friendly and even upgraded my single room to a double for free! Lovely stay with great service and a wonderful breakfast!

Overlooking Lake Ellidavatn, this hotel offers free parking, free Wi-Fi access and an in-house restaurant. All rooms have private bathrooms and flat-screen TVs. Central Reykjavik is 13 km away. It's wonderful to be so close to the city and at the same time have such a beautiful view. But you must have a car! The room was spacious and beautifully decorated.

Set on a square behind Reykjavík Cathedral and the Icelandic Parliament, this hotel offers modern rooms with free Wi-Fi access and Nespresso coffee machines. Lake Tjörnin is 1 minutes’ walk away. The location was great as it is at City Center and walking distance to various attractions. Also overnight parking is just 10-15 mins walk away near the lake which is of great convenience. Staff was extremely friendly and made the room available for early check in knowing we needed it. Room comes with Nespresso machine and capsules and electric stove. We were lucky to have a nice balcony to our room.

I’ve asked a room with a bit of specific request and mentioned our anniversary and we got the best room ever with sweets waiting for us. Can’t thank enough hotel employees for making our stay special! Also would like to mention the comfort of the room and specifically bed. Had the best sleep in ages. The breakfast is great as well. All the necessary for different styles of breakfast, with exceptional taste. We tried room service as well and the diner was absolutely amazing!

Excellent hotel with the best location, beautiful rooms and the best hotel spa area I have seen. A must for stay in Reykjavik. Staff at the hotel was great too.
