Opened in June 2018, Hotel 1001 Nott offers modern accommodation 5 km from Egilsstadir. The hotel features outdoor hot tubs overlooking Lake Lagarfljót. There is also an on-site bar. We got to this hotel around 21h and we were amazed by how big was our room and toilet! Is so praceful and THE Staff are just family! Is really lovely. Then we woke up to a beautiful landscape witht the tiver and the Mountains, on top of that a home made breakfast with warm bread and cake! You cant avoid but wake up Happy and have a great start of your day!

Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village. We reached this hotel in the evening, after hours on road it was our safe and comfortable place. Thanks a lot to reception guy (we forgot to ask the name), he was really nice and gave us some advises about visiting places around, also shout out to Austėja, thanks for recomendations, we saved a lot of time during next day trip to Reykavik. One more thing to mention, this hotel will stay in my memory for the all life, as the first Nothern light was captured here! Breakfast was perfect! Best regards from griup of lithuanians! 💚

Located by the harbour in Höfn, this property is surrounded by Hornafjördur’s outdoor activity possibilities. Guests can enjoy mountaineering, snowmobile glacier trips and ice climbing in the area. Modern and elegantly renovated hotel, super friendly staff! Our room had everything we needed and was perfectly arranged and equipped! The breakfast was outstanding and had everything, even local specialities! We arrived late, but our receptionist kept the bar open for some glasses of wine for us.

Boasting panoramic views towards the famous Vatnajökull glacier and the surrounding mountains, Árnanes Country Hotel offers free Wi-Fi. The harbour town of Höfn is only 6 km away. The room was today and clean. Location was just outside of the main town to easy to travel in for food etc. Breakfast was really nice, plenty of choice and lots of homemade / local items. The staff were very friendly and informative as we were stuck in a storm due to road closures.

Situated next to Iceland’s Ring Road, this family-run farm hotel offers brightly decorated rooms with a TV and a private bathroom. The Hoffell Hot Springs are 25 km away. The hotel is family owned and very pleasant. We really enjoyed the local flavor for breakfast. There was a nice variety with veggies, eggs, and homemade goodies - bread, pastries, and jam. They offered fish and meats too. Free coffee and tea all day! We had vegan burgers for dinner that were very filling and tasty. We found the room to be spacious and very clean. There was only soap available in the room. The staff was great, so nice and responsive before arriving. There was a cute gift shop too. I liked all the animals on display. Fantastic location to visit Diamond Beach and Glacier Lagoon, it's only 25 minutes and worth the drive especially for the value.

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. Great place to have a stop for the night when entering the fjords. Good food friendly staff. And the hottub with the sauna makes it better.

Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi and free private parking. parking here was very easy. the hotel itself is very nice, and the staff was very friendly. They offer an Aurora wake up call. we enjoyed the breakfast here as well!

The amazing location of Hotel Skaftafell provides guests with stunning views of Iceland's highest mountain, Hvannadalshnjukur and the largest glacier in Europe, Vatnajökull. We could register to be woken if the northern lights appeared and they allowed us to have breakfast early . Dinner was delicious

Just 5 minutes’ drive from Höfn in south-east Iceland, this hotel is found along Route 1, close to the country’s largest glacier Vatnajökull. Our stay in this hotel was amazing. We had everything we needed. There was a kettle, tea and coffee in the room. The room was clean and comfortable for group of 3. Tasty breakfast with a lot of options. The staff is friendly and helpful. Great mountains view from the window. Around 10 minutes to the big supermarket. I would like to come back to this place again.

Berjaya Hérað Hotel is situated in Egilsstadir, 5 km from Lagarfljot River. It offers a terrace bar and 24-hour room service. All rooms have Wi-Fi, satellite TV and wooden floors. Lovely hotel for when you are driving round Iceland. Staff are exceptional from reception to barman to restaurant staff. Friendly, open warm and generous. Staff really make a property and the staff here were no exception. Worth staying if you need a clean well appointed good value for money stay
