בית ההארחה לייק הוטל אגילסטאדיר (Lake Hotel Egilsstadir) שוכן בבית חווה משופץ, וממוקם בסמוך לאגם לאגרפיוט (Lake Lagarfljót) בכפר אגילסטאדיר (Eglisstadir). We reached this hotel in the evening, after hours on road it was our safe and comfortable place. Thanks a lot to reception guy (we forgot to ask the name), he was really nice and gave us some advises about visiting places around, also shout out to Austėja, thanks for recomendations, we saved a lot of time during next day trip to Reykavik. One more thing to mention, this hotel will stay in my memory for the all life, as the first Nothern light was captured here! Breakfast was perfect! Best regards from griup of lithuanians! 💚

Located by the harbour in Höfn, this property is surrounded by Hornafjördur’s outdoor activity possibilities. Guests can enjoy mountaineering, snowmobile glacier trips and ice climbing in the area. Modern and elegantly renovated hotel, super friendly staff! Our room had everything we needed and was perfectly arranged and equipped! The breakfast was outstanding and had everything, even local specialities! We arrived late, but our receptionist kept the bar open for some glasses of wine for us.

Boasting panoramic views towards the famous Vatnajökull glacier and the surrounding mountains, Árnanes Country Hotel offers free Wi-Fi. The harbour town of Höfn is only 6 km away. The location was good for travelling the ring road. Our room was perfect; comfortable, warm and clean. The owner was really kind, gave us tips for getting around. Also the breakfast was really great. Would recommend for sure.

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. Great place to have a stop for the night when entering the fjords. Good food friendly staff. And the hottub with the sauna makes it better.

They offer an Aurora wake up call. we enjoyed the breakfast here as well!

Just 5 minutes’ drive from Höfn in south-east Iceland, this hotel is found along Route 1, close to the country’s largest glacier Vatnajökull. Our stay in this hotel was amazing. We had everything we needed. There was a kettle, tea and coffee in the room. The room was clean and comfortable for group of 3. Tasty breakfast with a lot of options. The staff is friendly and helpful. Great mountains view from the window. Around 10 minutes to the big supermarket. I would like to come back to this place again.
